LUMIERE TANGO
Stylish, surprising, and distinctly contemporary.

Introducing the new grand piano sensation from Lumiere: the Tango.
Its striking beauty is found in the carefully crafted proportions that give the classic grand piano shape a modern twist. The tail features an angled taper, and when the lid opens, it creates a breathtaking visual akin to a flag fluttering in the breeze. A transparent acrylic panel runs through the center of the lid, mirroring the iconic curve associated with grand pianos, while its far edge remains a straight line that aligns with the flat side of the piano rim. This innovative redesign of the lid reinterprets the traditional, making the open lid a captivating centerpiece of the Tango grand piano.
The body of the Tango piano showcases Lumiére’s groundbreaking approach to piano construction. The rim’s upper keyboard sides are less steeply angled, imparting an elegant, contemporary silhouette. Meanwhile, the traditionally straight bottom front rim rises, enhancing the overall profile with a hint of the aerodynamic beauty found in aircraft fuselages.
Additionally, the vertical thickness of the Tango grand’s tail gradually narrows at the end, contributing to a visually lightweight appearance for the entire piano body.

The legs of the Tango grand exemplify Lumiére’s design excellence. The front ‘legs’ feature modified V-shaped forms with an asymmetrical cutout at the center.
The connection point of the legs to the piano’s body is notably wider, enhancing the overall proportional balance of the grand piano and creating a seamless integration of the legs into the body. When crafted from acrylic, the front legs create a stunning ‘ghost’ effect, allowing the piano to appear as if floating and showcasing its most striking element – the inverted V-shaped pedal lyra/back leg, made from metal. This flat metal ribbon begins as a front pedal lyra and gracefully descends, functioning as a supportive back leg.
Much like a tango dancer’s arabesque, this unique detail sets the Tango grand piano apart from anything else you’ve encountered. With a variety of finishes and colors available, the design options are limitless.
